How to Use Emergency SOS on Your iPhone
If you're in a remote location, Emergency sos will help you contact the emergency services in your area. When activated, Emergency sos calls your local emergency number and sends a text message to your contacts with your current location (if available). After the call ends, your emergency contacts will receive ongoing updates as your location changes over a period of time. Enabled: Tap Settings > Emergency sos to enable both Call with Hold and Call with 5 Presses, which will call emergency services when you either rapidly press the side button or keep it pressed for five seconds. In both cases, you'll get a countdown and an alert before the call is made. How to use: On iPhone 8 and later, press and hold the side button and one of the volume buttons until the sliders appear, then drag Emergency SOS. Alternatively, on older iPhones, you can quickly press the Lock button five times. Mercari Technologies America LLC Set up Emergency sos: Select Settings > Emergency sos, then set up your emergency contacts and Medical ID. Once done, choose Share During Emergency Call to let your iPhone or Apple Watch share the information from your Medical ID with emergency services when you call or text them from a supported location. On iPhone 14 models sold in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao, Emergency sos will not work. This is because Apple and Globalstar's new satellite network isn't yet in place to support this feature.
